We had the pleasure of Jacob tutoring our son during his A level and AS level period for Maths and Physics.

Jacob knows his subjects well and had done all necessary background research into the Examination Board modules that he was taking and their requirements, prior to teaching our son, so that he knew exactly what needed to be taught and what the Board were looking for.

Jacob is an excellent teacher. He creates a wonderful rapport with his pupil and sustains a kind, gentle and generous attitude during the lessons. He was encouraging and yet firm enough to retain discipline and order. Lessons were structured properly and there was a plan and outcome to each session. Jacob was also extremely courteous and helpful when explaining to us, his parents, what he had taught that session and what additional work would be necessary as practice.

During the school holidays we asked Jacob for an intensive programme to essentially go through the entire syllabus for Maths and Physics. Jacob prepared a full set of guidance notes which our son found most helpful, and he arranged the learning days in such a way as to maximise time and effectiveness and we were all very grateful. They were long days and yet much was learned.

We would thoroughly recommend Jacob as a Maths and Physics tutor.

In regards to his attitude, Jacob always offers a very flexible schedule in which he is always punctual. During his sessions, he is clear, patient and most importantly is able to explain concepts in more than just one way. He is always able to adapt to his student´s preferences; is not affraid of taking a new approach in the way he teaches, thus making him an ideal tutor.

Jacob has started to tutor my son in Maths, Physics and Chemistry GCSE. He is brilliant! Punctual, extremely well organized, always with a plan for the evening. My son really enjoys his tutorials.

Jacob stepped in at close to the last minute to solve an A Level confidence crisis. He was calm, reliable and diligent, inspiring trust in a stressed out sixth former.

Jacob gave our 14 year old daughter a short course of refresher Physics tutorials to consolidate her learning and help her prepare for her year end exam. Her experience was very positive - Jacob was clear, patient, organized - and her exam mark was much better than what she had been achieved in her midyear tests. An excellent initial experience.

Jacob is an excellent physics tutor for my son. He is patient, methodical and aims for the highest results. I like the fact that he goes beyond reliance on past exam papers and uses his own expert knowledge of the subject to devise his own papers, a big plus in this era of more demanding A level papers.
