Our Team of Tutors

Our team of excellent tutors treat each student as an individual allowing them to find and implement the best approach.

This approach is rooted in finding out exactly what students need to learn and what they are finding difficult, delivering the highest quality of teaching and deciding whether assigning HW is productive or not. The individual approach allows our tutors to leverage their experience to build the student’s skills knowledge and confidence.

JST has tutors based in London and around the world ready to provide great in-person tuition in London and online tuition to families based outside London.

We are ready to provide tuition to students across all subjects at levels including GCSE, IGCSE, A Levels, IB and AP.

Rebecca

Biology at GCSE and A level, Chemistry at GCSE

Rebecca is a 1st year PhD student. Currently, she is not undertaking a role with Jacob Shenton Tutoring (JST) and she does have a history of experience. She makes great use of online resources both to find questions and to make presentations. She showed me how to use a few presentation tools.

Rebecca will have a more consistent schedule as the nature of PhD work is such that it is moveable. The consistency might help.

Faizah

Physics and maths at GCSE and A level

Faizah is a 2nd year undergraduate studying engineering at UCL. She does online and in-person tuition.

Faizah is currently undertaking a big GCSE tuition role with a year 11 student from a family I have worked for for years.

They love her and feel confident in her ability.

Amy

Biology at GCSE and A level, Chemistry at GCSE

Amy is a 5th year medical student (St. Andrew’s university). She is currently undertaking an online role with an A level biology student in Slovakia.

She is knowledgeable, prepares for lessons, well resourced and takes a very thoughtful approach to teaching. Amy works to develop a rapport with the student and is a good communicator with parents.

Next academic year, Amy will be working shifts that change from week to week. While she would be able to provide weekly tuition it is worth bearing in mind that the session time and day will change from one week to the next.
